The triangular BT3 is a highly portable extremely lightweight balance platform for easy assessment of balance. It is designed for the clinical specialist. The parts used are strong enough for testing of even obese persons.

Balance Trainer Software Suite

The BT 3 comes equipped with the Balance Trainer Software Suite. It features several preprogrammed testing protocols as well as a protocol wizard which allows you to easily set up your own testing protocols. The reporting tools provide clear and understandable visual feedback about the patients balance condition which can easily be compared to a large normative database.

Training your balance is made easy with three interesting balance games: Chase, Maze and Tennis. With these games everyone can have fun while exercising balance and coordination. HUR Labs keeps the software constantly up to date and registered users can receive updates for free for one year. These updates may also include new features and games.

The platform connects to your PC via a direct USB connection and the platform also takes its power from this connection. No external power is required. As there are no separate power sources, the signal from the platform to the PC is unbiased. All you need for testing balance in the field is a laptop running Windows 2000 or XP and the BT3.

The chassis of the BT3 is made of strong aluminum making it robust yet lightweight (5,6 kg – 12,3 lbs) Each of the three sensors can measure up to 200 kg (440 lbs) weight. The platform is equipped with a 16-bit high precision data acquisition module with an inbuilt a/d conversion. There is a separate a/d conversion made for each channel (each sensor) ensuring that no interference or cross talk can happen making the results highly accurate.
