HUR Labs Research Line
The HUR Labs Research Line Leg Extension / Curl unit represents the
state of the art in Muscular Performance Testing. High - accuracy strength
and angle sensors measure performance output during dynamic movement.
A chain is never stronger than its weakest link and by targeted muscular
testing we can pinpoint the weaknesses. This applies both to Rehabilitation,
Sports as well as Research. We believe that in muscular performance
testing there are three different factors to be examined:
1. Maximum Strength
which is measured during static conditions. It will give you information
on for example Muscular Balance on Force Recruitment characteristics.
2. The Force - Velocity characteristics
will give you information on how much force the muscles can produce
at different velocities. This is of crucial importance in sports where
forces have to be produced in fractions of a second.
3. Fatigue Characteristics.
This gives you information on the metabolic components of muscular performance.
For example how long you are able to maintain a preset level of force
and how fast the performance output will drop with an increasing number
of repetitions
In order to be able to pinpoint the actual reasons for improvement
we need to isolate the individual muscle groups and measure their performance
characteristics directly.
HUR Labs Research Line Software Suite
The HUR Labs Research Line Software Suite controls the HUR Leg extension
/ Curl unit. There are predefined protocols for
>> Maximum Strength
>> Force / Velocity
>> Fatigue
There is also a General Data Acquisition module for easy data acquisition.
The gathered data can easily be exported for further analysis.
